I am a hardcore race fan and am generally addicted to Speed Channel programming including F1, NASCAR (Go Carl!), Wind Tunnel, My Classic Car etc.  However, I fail to see what in the world is going through the collective minds of the Speed Channel Programming Gods when they continue to turn their backs on The World Rally Championship (which happened several years ago) which I used to watch religiously until they discontinued it in favor of such “great” automotive programming fare as “NOPI Tunervision” and “Livin’ The Low Life.” The last time I checked, the FIA did not a have any sort of competition for lowriders nor have they broadened (no pun intended) their competitive horizons to include riceburner tuning and wet T-shirt contests.  Perhaps Fox (the parent of Speed Channel) could start up some new cable/satellite channels called the Slow Channel for lowriders and the T & A Rice Burner Channel for the juvenile import raging hormone set.

Just in case nobody outside the Speed News room has noticed, the WRC championship race is down to a one point gap between Mikko Hirvonen (who drives a Ford Focus) and Sebastien Loeb (who drives a Citroen).

Please bring back the WRC!!!!
