Warner W. Hodgdon of National Engineering fielded Indy cars in the 70’s and early 80’s and was the Title Sponsor of NASCAR races at Riverside and Rockingham in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Bobby Allison drove for him in 1979 and 1980. He sponsored Dale Earnhardt in 1980. He sponsored the Wood Brothers in 1981 and 1982. Neil Bonnet drove the #75 RahMoc Chevy in 1983 with Hodgdon sponsorship. In 1983 Hodgdon bought Bristol and Nashville Speedways. In January 1985 he filed for bankruptcy “after his engineering companies in California were accused of bid rigging and he was sued for $53 Million. He owned half of Junior Johnson’s team which Junior won back in court” Peter Golenbock “NASCAR Confidential.”
