FormulaPod, [formulapod.com] an internet broadcast radio show (aka a PODCAST), takes a light-hearted approach to Formula One, and auto-sports in general, with suprising side-turns when you least expect them.

The hosts, Brett Johnson and Corey Krause, grew up together surrounded by car racing, and have a unique style you wouldn’t expect to hear covering the rehlm of F1.  Rather than the usual stiff upper-lipped / snobbish approach, they crack jokes, and make the timeperiods between races enjoyable, and will make you laugh along the way. There are the occasional interviews with people in the F1 world you normally wouldn’t hear from, such as Mark Sutton, one of the sport’s best photographers.

While they try to produce a show for each practice, quali and race, there is the occasional delay, primairally because life happens along the way, and they do the show because they enjoy it, and aren’t paid to do so. The wait is always worth it, as the shows are very entertaining.  they have been making shows since 2005.  Listener feedback and input is encouraged, and the supporting internet forum is one of the best I have seen, with teckie to comedic sections, and a well laid out framework to make posts easy to locate.

There is a whole slew of ‘JARGON’ used in the F1 world, and FormulaPod has certainly added to it, a full glossary can be found linked to their home page, formulapod.com, as well as past episodes, and subscription links to capture future episodes via RSS, iTunes and other sources used to capture your podcasts.

there is also a supporting group for FormulaPod found on Facebook, “FormulaPod Fans”, currently at 74 members as this is written.

They have an ongoing contest, “Call It”, where you predict the podium and win if you are correct!
