Some of this week’s storylines:
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series – Just three races to go in the 2009 season… Jimmie Johnson appears to be on cruise control headed to his 4th consecutive title. And, if history is any indication, Jimmie and his 48 team will be right up front this weekend in Texas… Meanwhile, Roush Fenway Racing and Ford are coming off of a big win last week. Texas has been a very good combination for the team in the past… Roush Fenway has scored 12 wins at Texas in NASCAR (7 Cup, 4 NNS, 1 NCWTS). TSR will check in post race Sunday with the answers and the story of how things got done.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series – The Trucks hit Texas with three to go. Ron Hornaday is chasing the drivers title, but, the owners championship could go to a team other than Hornaday’s thanks to some serious driving by Kyle Busch. The Truck Series crew will check in with TSR and break down how it all shakes out.
NASCAR Nationwide Series – Once again… Kyle Busch is the big storyline… Kyle has won the last three Nationwide races at Texas. Will he make it four? Starting up front is important… seven of the last eight races at Texas were won from a top-10 starting position.
World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series – The World Finals will decide who his the 2009 Series Champion. The closest title fight in series history sees a three way fight between three-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz, Jason Meyers and Joey Saldana. TSR will have the story on how the race shakes out, and driver reaction afterward.
Plus… not only is the World of Outlaws Sprint Car tile up for grabs… The Late Model title will be decided between Steve Francis and Josh Richards.
