  • NASCAR’s Camping World Series, comprised of the Busch North Series and West Series, is a regional touring division and part of NASCAR’s driver developmental system. Race cars in the Camping World West Series are similar to those used in the NASCAR Busch Series. The vehicles are powered by 350 to 358 cubic-inch V-8 engines with a maximum compression ratio of 12:1. Both 105- and 110-inch wheelbase cars are allowed, with a minimum weight of 3,300 pounds. All cars are equipped with Goodyear bias-ply tires.

At race tracks throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, the Busch North Series stages its 22nd season in 2008.
The West Series enters its 55th season in 2008. This series, which competes in Washington, Oregon, California, Utah and Arizona, has been a proving ground for the region’s top drivers for the past five decades. NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series star Kevin Harvick was the 1998 West Series champion and NEXTEL Cup Series diver Brendan Gaughan was a two-time series champion in 2000-2001.
