- AMA Superbike

The AMA Superbike Championship, the nation’s premier motorcycling roadracing series, will once again see teammates Mat Mladin and Ben Spies square off as they look to further Suzuki’s dominance of the series.
Australian Mladin is the owner of almost every significant career mark in the record books while young Texan Spies stole the title away from Mladin in
‘06 and successfully defended in ’07.With Spies expected to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Nicky Hayden, Wayne Rainey, and Eddie Lawson, who went from AMA fame to Grand Prix world titles,
2008 may be the final chapter to what some are already calling the greatest rivalry in AMA Superbike history.Behind them is a field of hungry challengers hoping to fight their way back into contention. Honda has former AMA Superbike champ Miguel DuHamel and former British and World Superbike king Neil Hodgson, Kawasaki boasts support class champs Jamie Hacking and Roger Hayden, and Yamaha has two-time class runner-up Eric Bostrom and up-and-comer Jason DiSalvo. And don’t forget about Michael Jordan’s team with the hard-charging Georgian duo of Aaron Yates and Geoff May, who may have something to say about this year’s title fight.
