Wendy Venturini "What about Elliott? What moment are you most proud of him?"
Elliott Sadler "That he wanted to come home after traveling and mainly that he has come around to do the same thing. Gosh, are you okay? What are you doing? Are things good with you? What can I do to help you? And you don’t know they’ve got that in them until you maybe need it and it just comes out pouring, what can I do for you?”
Wendy Venturini "It’s easy to see why Hermie and Elliott would never want to disappoint their momma belle. She is such a sweet lady. In part two of the real deal you will hear more from belle Sadler as she has battled her cancer. You do not want to miss this story because it is such a great story that she had for us and those two boys would make any mom proud."
Wendy Venturini "If anyone has ever experienced cancer or knows someone that has you know how physically and emotionally draining it can be and while the road to recovery has been a tough one for belle Sadler, the mother of Hermie Elliott and Missy Sadler, things are Looking up for Miss Belle. On this mothers day weekend we wanted to honor one of the sweetest moms in NASCAR, Belle Sadler."
John Roberts "We want to send out a quick get well to Belle Sadler, of course, Belle is the mother of Hermie and Elliott Sadler, and she is on the road to recovery following a battle with cancer"
Wendy Venturini “Fans might not know that your mother has been battling through cancer, how has she been able to fight through it?"
Hermie Sadler "She has been inspiration, you know. When people ask that’s what I say, what have you learned about this situation with your mom? It’s just the way that she’s handled it she hadn’t complained, she hadn’t fussed and there have been plenty of times when we have been over there to see her when she was laid up and she would always just say I’m just resting but you could just tell."
Wendy Venturini "I see you shaking your head, Elliott."
Elliott Sadler "She is just so strong. Like Hermie said the way she battled through all of it.
Wendy Venturini "Hermie said not once have you complained."
Belle Sadler "Maybe to them I haven't, well it wouldn’t have done me any good. I mean I’ve had good days. I am not going to tell you I have had bad days, bad days that you didn’t get off the sofa days. But in the end from day one I thought I was going to be well. I though some where down this road I’m going to get over this and I’m going to do other things. I’m going to help with my grandchildren I’m going to go to racers. In this small little community I’ve had a load of people pray for me. My family has gathered around me, I can’t tell you the support, and it’s just been positive."
Wendy Venturini "He said he put the cancer ribbon and autism ribbon on both sides of his names because it was closest and most important to him and it was going to be the last thing he was going to think of every time he stepped into that racecar."
Belle Sadler "Oo, I didn't hear that, so it makes it even more special so when I saw it there he hadn’t even told me I just looked up and I saw it there and I said, oh, gosh. He is thinking of me."
Elliott Sadler "It puts me in a good frame of mind when I get in that car every Sunday and what I have to do that I’ve got a great life and it’s a great job but my family at home is number one to me."
Wendy Venturini "I am going to put you two on the spot for a minute, if there is something you wanted to tell your mother that you haven’t told her, what would it be?"
Elliott Sadler "You can go first."
