NEW EXEC FOR PE
Petty Enterprises has hired Michael Bartelli as senior vice president and chief marketing officer of both the race team and the Richard Petty Driving Experience. “We are excited to have a marketing executive of Mike’s acumen and reputation join us,” said David Zucker, Chief Executive Officer of Petty Enterprises. “His proven ability to help brands realize value from motorsports marketing will be an invaluable asset to the Petty organization and our partners. He is a strategic thinker who built a leading motorsports agency from the ground up and his experience across a multitude of consumer product categories will serve us well as we grow our businesses.”

Bartelli joins Petty Enterprises from Millsport’s Charlotte-based motorsports division where he spent eight years, and was most recently, its president. Prior to Millsport,
Bartelli served as vice president, business development for Action Performance Cos.

CHEVY BUST AT BRICKYARD
Chevy Day at the Brickyard takes places at various infield locations at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday, July 25. Chevrolet-sponsored NASCAR drivers appearing live on the Chevy stage in the Hall of Fame Museum parking lot will participate in question-and-answer sessions with emcee, Riki Rachtman. Drivers expected to appear include Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and many more. Autograph sessions with Team Chevy Members will take place in the Pagoda Plaza. Fans wishing to meet drivers must have a wristband to get in line for an autograph. Wristband distribution begins at 8 a.m. in the Pagoda Plaza to the first 175 people in line for each session, all ages included. Each person only will be allowed to receive one wristband in total.
