Roush Fenway Racing's Matt Kenseth finished third after leading four times for 41 laps. The Roush Fenway driver was in the lead and attempting a quick stop on lap 145 when an official assumed he was taking four tires and stood in front of the No.17 Ford.

"I thought we just kind of got beat on the pit deal again," Kenseth said. "We had an official in front of our car when we did two and that cost us two spots leaving the pits, and that really hurt us. Then, we had a little miscue on our two-tire stop and that hurt us a little bit."

The Toyota Brigade showed muscle again with Red Bull Racing's Brian Vickers finished a strong fourth with Joe Gibbs Racing's Tony Stewart rounding out the top 5. Vickers lead 44 laps during the race.

"We had a great car all day," Vickers said. "I felt like we had the car to win there at the end. We kind of got it taken away from us. We passed the 8 (Mark Martin) car about two laps before the caution came out and for some reason NASCAR wanted to put them back in front of us. I’d love an explanation. I’m not sure exactly how that works. It wasn’t even like we were side-by-side. We passed
them like two laps before the caution and that pretty much cost us the race right there in my mind.

Reigning Sprint Cup champion and Hendrick teammate, Jimmie Johnson, finished in sixth after running up front all afternoon. But it just wasn't enough at the end.

"I was just disappointed with the finish because the car handled better than that all day long," Johnson commented. "I am happy for my teammate and it’s great for those guys to win and get Hendrick Motorsports another victory this year. This track always does something weird at the end and we do the opposite. Chad called a good race and it wasn't a matter of calling the race by any means it’s just the way it works out and we've had more slip away from us here than anywhere. But, all-in-all a great day and I am very proud of this Lowe's Impala SS team and we're getting better.

Roush Fenway teammates Carl Edwards and David Ragan finished solidly in the seventh and eighth spots followed by Gillette Evernham's Elliot Sadler and RFR's Jamie McMurray.
