More action is on tap with amazing stunt shows by 2002 World Champion Triumph stunt rider Kevin Carmichael, the Team FMX freestyle MX team, the Team Extreme Motosphere Show--featuring stunt riders inside a 16-foot steel globe--and Ryan Young's Trials Stars Show.
Every year VMD recognizes a Classic Club and for 2008 the North American Laverda Owners Club will be honored with a special display and various activities.
Free motorcycle demo rides offered by manufacturers are another popular VMD attraction. This year attendees will enjoy new model selections from Triumph as well as BMW, Buell, Can-Am Spyder, Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, KTM, Kymco and Moto Guzzi.
"Through it all, it's the people who make VMD special," Stoner continued. "The crowd is family-friendly, and riders and regular folks from all backgrounds trade notes, brought together by their shared interest in cool bikes. Whether you're a motorcycle collector, a racer, a regular rider or brand-new to motorcycling, VMD is the place to be."
All VMD proceeds benefit the non-profit Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum in Pickerington, Ohio. Advance tickets can be purchased at

About the American Motorcyclist Association
Since 1924, the AMA has promoted and protected the motorcycling lifestyle. AMA members come from all walks of life and they navigate many different roads on their journey to the same destination: freedom on two wheels. As the world's largest motorcycle organization with nearly 300,000 members, the AMA advocates for motorcyclists' interests in the halls of local, state and federal government, the committees of international governing organizations and the court of public opinion. Through member clubs, promoters and partners, the AMA sanctions more motorsports competition events than any other organization in the world. Through the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, the AMA preserves the heritage of motorcycling for future generations. For more information, visit
