Kopp’s win catapults him to the top of the AMA Flat Track Twins Championship point standings as he now holds a single point lead over defending Grand National Champion Kenny Coolbeth. Bryan Smith sits just ten points back of Coolbeth.

The Expert Twins main turned sour for points leader Brandon Robinson when the White’s Harley-Davidson / Iron Valley Harley-Davidson / Action Motorsports backed rider stuffed his Harley into the Turn 1 hay bales while chasing leader Michael Kirkness and his Dave Burks Motorsports / O’Neal Clothing-backed Suzuki.

The race was red flagged on lap 3 and Robinson had to restart last. Kirkness picked up where he left off and would lead the entire twelve laps. Latus Motors Harley-Davidson / Bob Lanphere’s Beaverton Honda’s Brady Mueller was holding second over Rhinehart Morris Racing’s Ben Evans, but Evans was soon under attack from a rejuvenated Robinson.

Australian Kirkness powered his way to his first American National win in convincing fashion with Mueller and Robinson joining him on the podium. Robinson maintains a comfortable 43-point lead in the point standings over Mueller. Third place in the points, Aprilia USA’s Chad Cose fell twice in the main add ended up a lap down in tenth.
