2004 Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductee Jeff Emig joins SPEEDs AMA Supercross broadcast team for the 2006-07 season as color analyst. Emig has legendary accomplishments on the track which are - four AMA National championships, an FIM World Supercross Championship, and 37 AMA National wins in an 11 year riding career that included six appearances on the United States Motocross des Nations team from 1992 to 1997. He also won the 1999 US Open of Supercross before retiring from competition after being injured in a crash in 2000.
After retiring from riding, Emig stayed involved in the sport as a team owner, and switched over to broadcasting in 2002 when he was a pit reporter for Supercross. He was also the analyst for the US Open of Supercross earlier this year on CBS.
