Birthplace: Houston, TX
Birthdate: March 26, 1960
Full name: Brian R. Till (not telling about the "R")
Current Residence: Columbus, Ohio
High School and college: Baylor University, BBA degree
Wife/children: Ah yes, I have a MUCH better half: Leslie. We have two sons: Samuel and Connor. And Leslie is destined for Saint-hood for taking care of the two of them while I am away so much!
What do you do for SPEED: Anything that they will pay me for! On-air talent: pit lane, play-by-play, color commentary
Past jobs: Driving instructor (still do it) and no, not the kind to get your license! High Performance driving. College/high school: beer delivery (most of it got there but there is "spoilage"!), construction, musician.
Resume: Do I need one? Is there something I should know?
Worst moment in your career: Wow, if I talk about it, I will have to live it all over again. I think I will keep this one to myself.
Favorite movie: Hard to say, I do not see many these days.
Favorite song: Depends on the mood; it could be anything from good ole Southern Rock (Allman Bros., Molly Hatchett) to modern Country. My CD case is very bizarre.
Favorite sport: Other than racing, probably football.
Favorite driver/rider: Jackie Stewart, Senna, Mario, Tony Stewart…I admire them all. Very different talents but an abundance of it!
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be: Alaska
What do you love the most about your job: The people. Racing is a big fraternity. And having been a driver it also gets me as close to driving as you can get. The pressure of live TV is like the pressure of driving…awesome.
Hobbies: Hunting (when I can), golf (when I can), music (when I can).
What was your first car: Hold on! Are you ready? A 1972 notch-back, auto transmission Chevy Vega. Lets see, two motors, 1 transmission and a bunch of bondo later, we finally had "to let her pass on". Ah, but the memories…
Have you ever competed in a race, amateur or professionally: Some of my competitors might say I did it in an amateur fashion! But yeah, it was my career for about 10-12 years.
One thing most people do not know about you: Hopefully there is a lot they do not know…like bank account numbers and the like! Probably that I am an avid hunter. I love the outdoors and hunting just about anything.
