need to get on board here Gary, it' a whole new world. I don't watch a lot of TV, but, I do appreciate the HD effect. Maybe Santa will be good wink

I was skeptical of HD and just how much better it might be for the expense.
Well, it's like the moment in the Wizard of OZ when the movie goes to color.
The difference was much more stunning and apparent than I ever realized it could be.

I have friends with HD. It looks nice but is less than impressive when turned off like mine usually is.

IMO, it's not all that great. It's just a cleaner picture. Sharper. You can live without it. Don't believe the hype.

A few months ago there was so much talk about going to digital TV. I'm like, WTF? At that time I was considering moving up to a HDTV. I was thinking, people actually still use antennas?? OMG big surprise

I use an antenna for my US and canuck networks
HD picture is way better than cable or sat offering

I can watch roughly 10 channels here with an antenna, but the cable channels are all that I watch.

I've been hearing the same thing. the HD digital signals over the air are uncompressed. Well, not as compressed as cable or satellite.

Shame that I only really watch a few cable channels, and rarely network.

I agree, Chaos - network TV is terrible.

You don't watch your local news & weather on network TV? Or are you proud to live in a cave.
