The Cap n Trade bill will heavily curtail travel because of the carbon footprint. I wonder how NASCAR will be impacted? Will they have to close down because it just becomes to expensive to pay the fines or of the restrictions???

Let's hope we don't have to worry about cap n tax. If it does go thru, NASCAR's viability will be least of this country's worries.

NASCAR has a SMALL carbon imprint compared to many other industries in the US. No need to worry. Heck, NASCAR might even be able to sell their credits to other companies.

Despite what Rush Limbaugh tells you, it's really not that big a deal.

Yeah it is it's just another way to punish the poor and middle class for the faults of the top 0.5% of people. Just another ponzi scheme for the rich to get richer like everything else in government these days but this isn't a political forum so I'll shutup.

You know we have had cap and trade for years and it's pretty much eliminated sulfur pollution?

Never under estimate the political power of "Mr. Nascar". I have no doubt that Ricky will not let any of this impact Nascar regardless of whether it becomes law or not. No laws nor rules has ever stopped him before! Anyone know how much he paid for the new Governor of N.C. this year? I bet it's a pretty penny!

Cap and trade relates to heavy industry and energy production, not to sporting events. Please try to actually understand what you're talking about before you post...

It's nowhere near the same thing if you read the fine print.

If you would like to continue the debate we can do so with pm's because this is not a political forum and I have no intentions of making it that.
