I'm just waiting for the mysogynists to realize the double standards they're supporting.
I cannot recall any male driver having the amount of questions, criticisms, and inuendos applied as Patrick has in this thread alone.
The original supposition of the thread is that Patrick makes it harder for other women to enter the sport at an upper level because of her off track activities. Why not claim the same silly argument for guys with lesser talent and lesser records that have gotten into Nationwide? How fair are the mid-packers to other women?
Be fair and equally evaluate other guys that have entered Nationwide and whether they have the photos or not, they don't match Patrick's racing pedigree.

Can't wait to see her fans' reaction to Krashalotski's unique overtaking techniques. That will be sweet
I do not have this image
And I do not find Sarah Fisher all that unattractive, myself:

Its not that she is unattractive,we just dont have the image of her a%% crack emblazoned in our memory,. Motorola and Andretti keep her around because of money. If you think its for any other reason, your kidding yourself.Putting money aside,if a team owner had to pick a driver on nothing but ability to run up front, she wouldnt be in the top 10. I am not saying she doesnt belong, she is an average driver in a field of average drivers excluding the top 2-3.What i am saying is she got to where she is because of marketing ability, not driving ability.
I do not have the image of Danica's a%% crack emblazoned in my mind... :(

I'll agree that marketing got her first rides... that said, if she was a backmarker or crasher, she WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN ANY NEW CONTRACT, so what you're saying is that YOU THINK YOU KNOW MORE THAN CHIP, MIKE HULL, AND MICHAEL ANDRETTI ABOUT TALENT... good luck with that, LOL...
Chip and Hull have not hired her. As for Andretti, I DO think I know more about ability than he does, as I wouldn't have let either of his CHAMPIONSHIP and INDY 500 winning drivers go to keep Marco, Danica and/or Mutoh around.
You're onto something there!
Of course, Michael Andretti has an established record as a car owner so I'm going to trust his opinion over yours no matter what you say or how you try to legitimize your statements.

So, Ms. Stomp is coming to NNS. Worst kept secret since Kyle Busch forming a truck team. Great for NASCAR. The media attention, the added revenue, more butts in the seats. A winning combo right?
What about all of the other women trying to break into the upper echelon of NASCAR? This just set all of their careers backwards. May have even killed their hopes of ever having an opportunity to make it into the big show.
And talk about re-enforcing stereotypes! Will the ladies in waiting now have to pose bikini clad on a beach for a magazine in order to attract sponsorship dollars?
I'm curious, the ladies of this board haven't really commented.
Danica Patrick only had one thing when she started racing, her talent and her looks. She hasn't done a thing to hurt either one. She is deserving of anything she gets, in other words, she EARNED it.
If Danica is successful it will OPEN doors for women in NASCAR, not close them.
If thats the case,Scott Dixon should be making 25-30 million a year. Dixon,Castroneves etc are the ones that have earned it and should be making millions, not some tart that averages an 8th to 9th place finish.

Have bettered her pedigree and failed miserably in NASCAR:
Dario Franchitti
Christian Fittipaldi
Jacques Villaneuve
Paul Tracy
Have gotten rides based on appearances alone:
Jamie MacMurray
David Ragan
Scott Speed

Since Danica's arrival on the Indy scene, Sarah Fisher has had a resurrected career, and Milka Duno has had regular rides too. Couple that with the Lights ladies, Ana Beatriz has won a race, Pippa Mann has shown well, and Leilani Munter has had a few drives. In Atlantics, Simona de Silvestro has been taking polls and winning races.
Seems like Danica's presence didn't hurt the other ladies one bit.

Its a free market society. Nobody owes Dixon or Castroneves anything. Why do you call her a "tart"? Just say it, you dont think women are good enough right?

I wasn't addressing you yet again you interject yourself. My post refers to the original poster's supposition and that mean him, not you.
