I don't know if Speed has any control over this (it's possible you guys just get DTM stuff already cropped), but if you do can you please letterbox DTM instead of zooming/cropping it for fullscreen? It seems to cut off a lot of the picture. The standings graphics are completely gone and it really messes up the in-car shots, too.

Thanks for that useless reply. What makes you think I'm not glad it's on? I just watched it and enjoyed it, but I think my suggestion would only increase my enjoyment, and probably most people's.

Are you sure it isn't your TV settings?
The picture was perfectly fine on both my big screen and a 13" TV.

The picture wasn't bad or anything, but you could tell from the way some of the shots were framed that there was supposed to be more screen. And, I might be mistaken, but I am pretty certain DTM has an F1 style scoring rundown on the left side of the screen that I was unable to see. Were you getting that?

Is it possible you have your TV pic set on zoom?

The aspect ratio seemed ok, but you could definitely notice the interlacing lines in the video. F1, MotoGP and WSBK video quality is also half-butt on Comcast.
On the other hand, some of the cleanest motorsports video I've seen was the 2009 Isle of Man re-air on HD Theater. The show on the Shelby Daytona Coupe last night also boasted very clean video.

Thanks Speed! It was letterboxed this week. Judging by some of the comments here, maybe it was something my cable company was doing (I didn't have my TV on zoom), but either way I was glad to have the full picture this week

I watched it this week and wasn't impressed at all with the video quality. That was an improvement?

Since you can't read very well, I will explain for you, although since I will have to explain using words, you may still find it hard to grasp. Last week, at least for me, the race was not letterboxed and was instead fullscreen, cropping the sides of the picture. This week, it was letterboxed, allowing me to see the full picture and standings bar. I didn't say anything about the video quality. For whatever reason, the Speed I get through my cable is always a bit fuzzy, so I couldn't really speak to how the quality compared from last week to this week. I certainly made no claims about the video quality being better or worse.

It was converted from a PAL picture to an NSTC picture. That explains the horribleness of it.
