I'll pass judgement too until after she gets some time in a car. None of us know what will happen.
You're right.
Sam Hornish has won the Indianapolis 500, won the championship three times, and has 19 wins in 116 Indycar starts. His Cup stats? Two top 5's and seven top 10's in 72 starts.
Dario Franchitti has 114 starts in the old CART series with 10 wins. He has 84 starts in the Indycar series with 13 wins (including an Indy 500 win) with championships sandwiching a failed NASCAR season (one top 5 and two top 10's in 29 starts across the top three NASCAR divisions).
Danica Patrick has 81 Indycar starts with 1 win.
None of us know what will happen.
Tony Stewart won 3 IndyCar races and a championship against a watered down field shortly after the CART split.
Yes but Tony Stewart is the exception not the rule. I say it's really hard to tell how she will do IRL nowadays is so much about equipment if you don't drive for Penske or Ganassi you aren't going to win a championship. That said I still think Hornish has more talent then her and he is STILL struggling to be a top 25 driver.

Danica is an above average driver in Indy car. Many very good drivers have come from Indy car to NASCAR. Why should she not get a chance? Because of the hype? Well that would rule out most of the drivers that come from other series, wouldn't it?
She hasn't won a legitimate race yet. Her one win was against half of the field, as the other half were in Long Beach.
Funny, Justin Wilson won a race in the ultimate underdog race team of all time. Two wins for underdogs, if you count his NHL win in 08. I hardly consider Andretti a dog. Underachiever maybe. But a they have all the tools to win.
If she was the real deal, she would have real NASCAR teams throwing mega millions her way.

The 4 red cars didn't go to Japan? The 4 red cars that have won 95 per cent of the races since Patrick went illegitimate? I was sure they were there ..........
If AGR had all the tools to win, they'd be winning. Patrick is not the only driver on their team.
If the woman runs 10 NationWide races next year or in any other year it's highly unlikely she'll win any races. A couple of top 10's and a below-budget body shop bill would be an accomplishment. I
think she's capable of that ... and it would be a far better start than Allmendinger, Hornish or Franchitti had.
I could, of course, be wrong. It's difficult to take a positive position on this issue given the withering criticism of the Patrick naysayers. Let's just try to apply the same standard to everyone, shall we?

I saw a report that Rick Hendrick told Jr to drop any pursuit of Danica and focus on his Cup career instead.

I saw Petty, I saw Earnhardt, I’ve seen Gordon, I’ve seen Bill Elliott, Rusty Wallace, Terry Labonte, this is the best.”- DW on Jimmie Johnson

from jeff gluck's twitter:
Dale Jr says Danica is in negotiations with his sister but he hasn't been involved in any way. Still working on it.
Junior says re: Danica "I'm not in the middle of it at all. ... I can't help you."
Also, Kelley and Tony Eury Jr. are now part owners of JRM but they're having problems finding sponsorship for the 88 so Kelly Bires might only run half the season.

She has one of the best cars ,crews and almost the most money and still she can't even come close to winning a race. "Please Nascar take her".

if by one of the best you mean lucky to be 5th or 6th best on track at any given time (depending on how many penske/ganassi cars are running the race) then yes, she certainly is one of the best. On some tracks there's no driver who can make up the couple tenths that those two teams seem to have.

Um, how many races did TK, ya know multi race winner in his career, former champ, all that, win last year with the same so-called "good cars" that Danica had?

Absolutely.
I bet other one-hit-wonders like Buzz Calkins and Richie Hearn would have a tough time in NASCAR.
In fact, I'd wager than the drivers in those sleek fast red cars would have trouble transitioning too.
Fair?
It's a shame Andretti can't get the same equipment as Penske and Ganassi. Poor Danica, has to get by in Dusenbergs. ROFLMAO!!!
