Hey, this is the series that YOU support - I called it a joke over a year ago. DMG drove all the factory support out and fools like you applauded the new club series for the close racing but turned a blind eye to the problems.
Don't call me a joke - you LIKE this series, remember? You keep saying it's great...
If riders like May can't continue, the superbike class will die - they will all be on 600s, Edmondson's vision will be realized and the fools will be happy but complaining that there are no Americans in any world championship classes - oh, but it will be because of passports, I assume...
No, this is the series what YOU support. The manufacturers control EVERYTHING and when they go broke, EVERYTHING goes down in a ball of flames.
This is your fetish and the manifestation of the Stockholm syndrome that dominates the hostage fans in this country. Prior to DMG's arrival, 299,996,000 people didn't give a damn about AMA Superbike. Now 299,998,000 don't give a damn about AMA Pro, but for some reason you've only realized the problem recently. You also think the situation would improve if only the manufacturers would spend even more money.
You and your ilk should be taken out back and beaten for turning the sport over to the marketing stooges at the American distributors b/c you're too cool to watch Superstock. Now that your vain wet dream has turned into a nightmare, you're trying to pass the buck to the most obvious scapegoat in the history of professional racing. People are supposed to agree with you? This must be the dumbest collection of racing fans on the internet.
Since 2006 sales have been on a steep decline and they have crashed in 2009. AMA does NOT drive sales, and the sportbike market was way too small to support the historical levels of spending. AMA Superbike was a country club for the distribution executives.
NASCAR is still running even though the Big 3 almost went totally bankrupt. AMA Pro has collapsed almost instantaneously now that the major manufacturers are losing money.
Your lust for manufacturer dependence has caused this mess and now you are reaping the rewards. Enjoy.
No, I want the manufacturers in, you want them out. They are out, your dream is realized. Revel in your glory.
I never wanted any of this, but the idiocy that you have posted is realized - it is a privateer championship. The factories have not pulled out of other series around the globe. Yes, they have cut back but only imbeciles like you and Rog wanted to see them out. They are out - enjoy!
By the way, on the WERA boards some in the know state that SPEED offered DMG to film the races in hi-def, but they wanted a 3 year deal. Rog's dream audience (you know, all those fans he brought in) isn't the SPEED audience so he said no... And apparently the '10 TV deal was offered but never signed, and has, I believe, been retracted. All hearsay, but I don't doubt it because DMG is full of visionaries like 14 here, who are just as full of ####.
I love it when the fools who realize their dream abruptly discover that it wasn't the panacea they envisioned and begin pointing their fingers at others looking for blame!
Rejoice 14! Your day is here. The factories are out. Ding dong the wicked witch is dead!
I hope a sane person gets some power in this series. I've had enough of visionaries.

I agree that the series is dying fast. I've read what was said on the WERA boards, and I agree - why race 'AMA Pro' when there is more money to be made in contingencies at a WERA race.
My only hope is that this will allow a new series to rise, and eclipse the farce we have now for all eternity. Let DMG have purchased the rights to a dead horse.

No, this is the series what YOU support.
Are you crazy? Read back on whatever you have babbled on these forums. This is exactly what you had wanted. You wanted to make a new set of fans that would follow DMG. You sold your soul and bought into DMG's greed. And you think that you can turn the tables with your circular logic?
The manufacturers control EVERYTHING and when they go broke, EVERYTHING goes down in a ball of flames.
The manufactures are never broke. They left because of DMG's greed for money. You want them to stay to feed DMG, RE and you? Work for a living and stop scamming.
You and your ilk should be taken out back and beaten for turning the sport over to the marketing stooges at the American distributors b/c you're too cool to watch Superstock.
You are frustrated because you don't get free money.
Go and work for a living.
Now that your vain wet dream has turned into a nightmare,....
This is what we knew ever since DMG stepped in. This was not a surprise for me.
Your dream of free money disappeared and so you are here to scream. What a greedy fool.
People are supposed to agree with you? This must be the dumbest collection of racing fans on the internet.
Nobody agrees with you and everyone else agree with each other. You must be frustrated.
Yep, go and blame the fans. Just because they don't part with their money and hand it over to you and to your overlords.
Like I said, go and work for a living. Stop begging for food.
Since 2006 sales have been on a steep decline and they have crashed in 2009.
But they delivered great racing in comparison to today. DMG is here to steal and eat from others at the expense of racing. They are the ones who ruined American racing.
NASCAR is still running even though the Big 3 almost went totally bankrupt.
I do not want NASCAR. NASCRAP may be your 'business model' but it is fleecing the fans and deserves to die.
AMA Pro has collapsed almost instantaneously now that the major manufacturers are losing money.
Again, stop trying to fool the public. The manufactures are not losing money, they are saving it for something better.
You are a DMG shill working for them full-time. I know they won't be paying you much, but why the fanatical loyalty? Because that is all the money that you can make and honest living is not your cup of tea. You are a crazy loser.

perhaps if he ventured over to the wera thread and read how much the series sponsor ponies up,how much promoters pony up in sanction fees, how much the ridiculous licensing, crew and even the "registration" fee of each racebike you will ride brings to DMG,he might stfu before he types his tripe here

In all fairness, the manufacturers are losing money. Yamaha lost $2,000,000,000 last year. As was said in congress, a billion here and a billion there and pretty soon you are talking about some REAL money.
If DMG had not done everything imaginable to alienate the factories there would still be some involvement. Instead we have little to nothing and the fools want to blame the FANS. Maybe Buell can help finance the series since DMG jumped on that bandwagon - or when all of Edmondson's new fans show up - after all, he was going to let the series grow for a couple of years before he starts promoting it to go big time...
It really is ridiculous, and not a little pathetic.

Yeah, isn't that a joke? $450 for a superbike license, $50 per bike for REGISTRATION (who dreams this crap up??), and THEN you can start paying entry fees, buy your tires (didn't Rog promise free tires? Oh, wait, DMG is getting $760,000 from Dunlop, I guess THAT was the 'free tires'), etc, etc, etc, and after adding all that up, if you don't get THIRD in the races - remember this is DMG, that is not a per race purse, that's a per WEEKEND purse - you get a good solid 'thanks for coming' from the organizers, and frankly they are more likely to be sneered at than thanked...
What a joke. This is a true club series, because the money involved won't pay for your tires.

My wife will be pleased -- I won't be budgeting any of my precious time to watch NASCARbike this year either.

We want the manufacturers involved by providing support and selling parts to manufacturers. We don't want them monopolizing sponsorship money and ruining the racing by writing pointless prototyping rules. We also want them to sponsor events and provide vendor displays at AMA races.
They've been avoiding FIM rules like the plague b/c they don't want the FIM to run their club, but by the time they finally got around to adopting WSBK rules, it was too late and DMG bought the sport.
DMG have got to be kicking themselves b/c this is the worst possible purchase they could have made given the economic climate. This isn't the first recession since the inception of AMA SBK, but this is the first time since the very beginning that the dollar has been plummeting. Japanese bikes continue to go up in price, but the liquidity crisis and high unemployment make selling on credit impossible. This is much worse than previous recessions.
