Final layout will be announced Dec. 15th, but here's what a newspaper there projects based on what they know.

This track layout reminds me of the old Champ Car San Jose course.

Here's a general layout out I did on Google Earth. I'm not sure where the hairpin was supposed to go, so I just guessed.

From Google Earth

This will give one a general idea on what the proposed site looks like. The images was dated 2008, so it's quite recent.

And yeah, jmore740, it does look a hell lot like the San Jose circuit.

If you want, the picture is pretty easy to find. Just type in:

Av. Olavo Fontoura, Sao Paulo, brazil

In the Google Maps search.

Looks like there should be plenty of passing on that track. Lots of nice braking zones.

A boring looking track....HOWEVER there seems to be 2-3 passing zones.

....which is almost 2 more than most street circuits.

I like that fact that the best passing zone is right before the start/finish line.

Street racing can be a lot of fun if you have the right cars (Champ Car/CART had many good ones, ALMS even made Detroit a blast in 07-08, and I've enjoyed some of F1's). However, compared to most street circuits on Indy's schedule, this one doesn't appear to be much. And those others haven't been able to produce good racing with the current rules package.

However, a race is a race, and I'll judge the track when I see cars on it. I certainly think it's good that this event is close to actually happening.

It’s a good day for a motor car race.

This track has a railroad jump in it too? Great just when we finaly got these cars to stay on the gound they will be getting airborne AGAIN.

Sorry looks like a snoozer of a layout. Let me know when the good portion of the schedule comes around.

They should have just used the F1 track because they just made a roval with a hairpin on one end. Sao Paulos kart track is more challenging then this thing.

Wow, that is just sad. Why would you run on that bad of a track when you are so close to a brilliant road course at interlagos? This makes no sense what so ever.
