I never thought "why" I just enjoy.
Tonight: open faced hot turkey smmies with mashed potatoes and lotsa gravy
Tomorrow lunch: cold turkey smmies with mayo
Tomorrow night: club sammies
Sunday: turkey noodle soup

Actually, a tip from the show "Friends" (not that that's the first place anyone ever thought to do this, but first time I personally encountered it) -- "the moist maker". In addition to the top and bottom pieces of bread, soak a third in gravy and put it in the middle of the sandwich.

Can't tell you why you think they are good. I had turkey on Thursday will try again next Thanksgiving. A bird that is stupid enough to drown in the rain, might want to think about it!
