Like a lot of other Nascar fans, I was hoping to see Mark pull it off. He had a great season and is a total class act.

Cheers to ya Martin & #5 crew!

Edwards saved his digs for the man of the hour, and Johnson’s crew chief, Chad Knaus.

“Jimmie, I just have one question,” Edwards said. “When you and Chad turn off the lights at night and hit the sack, who is the big spoon and who is the little spoon?” LOL

Mark's interview after the race nearly brought a tear to me. I have always admired him, but this year was the first year that I really pulled for him hard. I was privileged enough to be in Phoenix for his win, and he had the entire crowd on its feet. I really hope he can win a championship in the next couple years. I know it's unfair to say someone "deserves" a championship, but if anyone is fitting enough to have the title "champion" after their name, it's Mark Martin. Always takes the blame when things don't go right, and gives everyone else the credit when they do.

Junior will still be my driver next year, but Mark will definitely be right there with him for my cheers.

Mark accomplished so much in only his first year with this team. Now that they have a year under their belts, I think the 5 team may pull it off and win the championship next year.

Ditto! Mark stated he would never "put on a mask and draw a gun" to win. He wants to do it "fair & square". Until his teammate is required to do it the same way, Mark will be second again & again. However sad, Mark IS THE 2009 CHAMPION IN THE HISTORY BOOK AT MY HOUSE!

ROTFL thinking of Hendricksuks going through history books in his house with whiteout and deleting the stuff he doesn't like and re-writing it to suit his views.

that's funny stuff..

Is that the same book where Rick Hendrick says "Thank God for Leukemia"?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who got that mental image. I imagine he's on his way to edit Wikipedia to reflect his changes.
