I think that Summerton would be a very approriate choice as a rookie, but he needs to be paired with a veteran F1 driver, and I sincerly hope it would NOT be Villeneuve.

USF1 will need drivers that can make miracles happen with car developemnent.
They will not have the money to sink into car developement all their first year.
They will need to prove that ,first, they can actually get too and in,the races.
And two, that they can be more than just a field filling backmarker.
Both drivers need to be young go getters-not anyone that has seen and done everything there is in Formula One.
And they need to be cheap to hire as well.
All of that is a tall order.
But finding the next Ayrton Senna is something that every team principle hopes he has the ability to do.
Let's see who becomes the first in hopefully a long line of USF1 drivers.

Here's how this has to be and there's no other way its gonna work. They need someone from F1 in the seat, someone who,s been to all the circuits and can help develop the car. For the other driver they want a young American boy, there S.O.L. The only American that's got any potential of making it to F1 is Rossi and hes the only one that's doing what he needs to do, hes overseas competing with the best up&comers;there are in Europe and Asia on the toughest circuits in the world. That's what its gonna take, and he needs at least 2more years racing over there. Until then put whoever in the car cause his F1 career will be over before we know it. You have to enter F1 with $, experience, and you have to do it with a well established team that's moving forward on the grid. We all remember Scott Speed and Torro Rosso right? We don't need another one to make the same mistakes, we need a world champion.

To theGV, Yes I do call myself cdnfan, and I make no apoligies for that, but as far as Villeneuve goes, his father was the great racer, as for the son, I will be respectful in this forum, and will only say that Jacques, does not register on my radar.
