The Aprilia factory may not go ahead with plans to manufacture a Moto2 chassis and could back a second World Superbike squad in '10.

Reminds me of the "einstein" who suggested spec engines for formula one. Moto 2, a spec Honda series replaces an actual class with competitors. What genius came up with this idea? What will become of the 125 GP series? Yamaha 400cc? Total BS.

A spec Honda series? I guess they will at least get a win then. Is this series now run by DMG? If not they are related in brain mass, or should I say lack there of.

Go Aprilia. Good decision.

Well they went to spec Honda engines to control costs. It costs about 1 million dollars to run a 250cc bike for a season.

However, the 250cc 2 stroke MotoGP bikes had their own manufacturer competition. By taking that out of the equation, they are pretty much leaving the future of that class for the privateers and smaller motorcycle companies who don't manufacturer their own engines.

I'm guessing DMG and NASCAR are in cahoots to sabatoge MotoGP. I don't even like the new spec tire regs from last year. What's next? Spec riders with height and weight requirements/restrictions?

I love these comments that seem to assume everyone is ignorant that the control tire was an almost complete success.

Just goes to show how little forum group-think reflects the real world of GP audiences.
