Does anyone know who the champ is under the old points?

Nobody. Let it go, Nascar has changed their points system many times throughout it's history. I don't see anyone questioning any of Dale Earnhardt's championships even though he raced under different rules than his predecessors.

The race yesterday:

At the start, Marcos Ambrose was beyond impressive... then his day turned bad in a bad way.

The Tony/Juan incidents, while entertaining, took some excitement out of the rest of the race for me.

The racing was actually pretty good.

And the commentators seem to have heeded fans' criticism of letting the point race overshadow the race.
