Now that Penske has 3 could Ganassi sign a 3rd?

Let's face it, with 3 drivers Penske is going to put a death grip on the Championship. Could Chip look for a 3rd driver to even the odds a little more in his favor?

Of course...that's why Danica isn't announced at AGR.

Depends on the sponsorship and who brings a fat check to Chip in order to get him to okay a 3rd car.

Viso seems to have some sponsorship but a good million dollar question would be how much would it take for Chip to be able to run a 3rd car properly without taking away resources from Dario and Scott team.

Ganassi really doesn't need another car. He has the top two drivers in the series.

Anything is possible. Why would having 3 cars give Penske a death grip on the chamionship? AGR has 4 cars and they were not close.

AGR hasn't been on the same level as Penske in the last 2 years. We could be wrong and Penske could have a horrible year next year but, I wouldn't bank on it.

Chip isn't going to field a third unless the money is right, and I think that's a long shot. His asking price is probably pretty high, too.

So was Penske's, but he got it.

I highly doubt it. Verizon was already sponsor in the Penske organization. Its more of a one year, thank for 2008 deal for Power. With the possibility of replacing Briscoe in 2011 depending on his performance.

Chip is not going to add a third car just because Penske has three. It's a matter of sponsorship, not competitive advantage.

I would not be surprised though if Chip runs a 3rd car at Indy out of the TCGR stable. For who? That I don't know.
