LOL..

I don't think it's about hating. Honda and Toyota left because it was expensive and personally I believe they left because they just couldn't get it done. It is sad that Honda and Toyota are not in F1 anymore but since you're not watching F1 anymore because they left you're obviously a Japanese manufacturer fan first and a F1 fan a very far second.

And this is true but that doesn't mean they hate each other.

You could argue that Honda did get it done this year. They hired the man, (Brawn) that could get their team into shape and he did, the car was developed with their money. I know they say they have no regrets, but seriously, they must be kicking themselves right now.

I'm what you would call, a "new school" fan of F1. I've only followed it since "03, so for Honda, BMW, and Toyota to drop is a big change for me. I'm just trying to figure out where everyone stands, because I hear old school fans say that the cost cutting and regulations go against what F1 is all about. However, these same fans are against the manufacturers, they like how F1 used to be dominated by privateers. I find that contradictory, because the manufacturers are the ones who spend the insane amounts of money on development and technological advancement of the sport, (what the old schoolers call real F1) while the private teams have half the budget.

Personally I'm not sure what to think. I love F1 because I think the cars are probably the greatest things on four wheels. I love hearing about how they work, I mean, before the engine rules they were testing at over 20,000 rpms, that's just insane. Without cost regulation though you're only have 2,3, maybe 4 teams that are any good from year to year, that gets kind of old. Look at NASCAR, Jimmie winning 4 in a row is really killing NASCAR, I thought it was great to see Force India competing for a win this year, and to have Red Bull up at the front.

why every body hate every body?

Really? What was the last really innovative feature a big manufacturer came up with? (Just for clarity's sake, I do not consider Ferrari or McLaren to be 'manufacturers' in the context of this discussion; they are 'constructors', IMO).

Pneumatic valve trains in the 80's (Renault, I believe). McLaren (privateer) had the first all carbon chassis in the late 80's and 'barge boards' in the early 90's; Brawn (privateer) the first (or at least the seemingly most effective) double diffuser this past season.

What exactly did Honda and Toyota bring (as teams, not as engine suppliers) to F1 besides the ability to spend money by the ton for little or no (as far as racing results go) return on investment?

Teams enter and leave F1 based on two interlocking things...Money & competitiveness. Everyone that enters believes with their expenditures they will achieve the championships...both WDC & WCC. When Corporations, that have to report to stockholders, realize their expenditures far exceed their results they have trouble selling their failures to the stockholders that want maximized returns on their investments.

I assume you know that Toyota is now considered an "American Manufacturer" by NASCAR and is racing in several NASCAR series.

Getting their, uh, "differentials" kicked after spending several billion dollars over the course of several seasons didn't help much, either. I suspect that's why Toyota and Honda left.

Why did Brawn suddenly rise from Honda's ashes and claim the WDC and WMC titles? I think it may have had something to do with getting engines from Mercedes; engines that had good power and less of propensity to "grenade" and go down in flames during races.
