I expect he'll be a solid #2. No way he'll outpace Hamilton in the same car. I'm no Hamilton fan, but you need to be a Kimi or Alonso caliber driver to keep up with him.

BTW I think JB is going to be a lot closer to Lewis than many here seem to believe.

Don't forget that JB got a good car in 2004 & pushed Schumacher pretty hard at times when Schumi had the superior/dominant Ferrari F2004. In 2006 after that Hungary win JB scored more points than anyone else over the 2nd half of that year in a car that perhaps wasn't as good as the Ferrari or Renault.

I think the 2 struggling years at Honda in 07/08 & the difficult Mid-Season this year have made a lot of peole forget just how quick Jenson actually is & some of the superb drives he's put in over the years.

WOOHOO!!! Watch out! The island of Britain just started a party! Out of the way!... raspberry

Jenson is only good when he has a car that fits his style and everything else is going his way. If you put Jenson at Renault in '09 it would be interesting how many points he could score against a guy like Alonso. Guys like Alonso and Vettel can get the most out of their car no matter what condition its in. Button for me has never shown that skill and makes him less of a driver for that. I know its harsh but IMO its true.

I feel Hamilton is going to slaughter him.

Hamilton & Button at McLaren

Alonso & Massa at Ferrari

Vettel & Webber at Red Bull

-vs-

Nico at Benz?

Somehow Ross doesn’t seem quite so clever at the moment.

this reminds me of 07. My bet is we'll see the Mclaren boys splitting points, probably a lot of them. Alonso is the best at getting the most out of an inferior car. If the Ferrari is even close in performance as compared to the Mclaren or Vettel's car, he wins the championship

I'll bet he does better than expected. Rosberg is inconsistent, but capable. If they get Heidfeld, they'll have a capable, consistent, and quick driver. The car will make up the rest, just like it did for Button in the first half of the year.
