With or without the countdown, the best (and fastest) car won the Pro Stock title this year. I am not a fan of Edwards, but Mike had the best car all year and deserved to win the Pro Stock Championship.

Congratulations Mike Edwards on an exceptional year and your first Pro Stock Championship.

I gotta admit I double-taked when I saw this. Not watching ther races this year, I excepted it to be Greg/Jeg, but I gotta say I'm happy.

Any truth to the rumor Ford is going to make a (serious) return next year? That could be interesting....

Ford will be represented by Larry Morgan, Erica Enders, Jim Cunningham and Robert Patrick in the 2010 Mustang next year.

I'm not a big pro stock fan. But I'm curious to know, after reading the above post, if the pro stock cars have any relation to the brands they represent? Relation as in engine, trans, etc.

Very cool about Ford, I'm a Mopar guy but more companies is always better. Is Morgan building his own lumps like his Hemi days?

Anderson, the motors and heads are brand parts as they have appropreiate GM/Mopar/Ford part numbers. The teams also help with body design, mostly in CDC/Windtunnel depts. Also the rules used to state the the companies had to provide the actual comapny badges for each car, like Le Mans still requires for its GT classes, but I dont think thats still the case.
