Uuummm... ok.
insert confused looking smiley here
I did not take it as critcism and definitley did not sneer when I read it... I would have felt really silly sneering in my cube.
Do we have to have "make up posts" now?

Wasn't '08 the year that tires had to be allocated in advance? I don't think that rule was implemented in '07.

I thought that too... hard to believe 2007 saw a switch to 800s AND tire allocation. I'll be wrong with you I suppose.

Note from poster: This post is not being done maliciously or with any kind of sneering at all.

With help from the tire manufacturers themselves, the FIM and Dorna modified the series tire rules for the 2007 season whereby riders were forced to pick their allocation of tires early in the weekend, limiting the number of tires any Michelin or Bridgestone rider can use.

Yeah, once someone mentioned that Rossi was on Bridgestones last year I knew I was wrong.
Time flies and I am having trouble keeping up with it these days.

To be honest, I had to think about it for a second before the original post.
It seems like a lot longer than 2-1/2 years ago.
