WHY WAS JIMMIE JOHNSON ALLOWED TO REBUILD HIS CAR AFTER THE TEXAS RACE AND NOT HAVE TO GO THRU INSPECTION AFTER THE RACE? I CAN UNDERSTAND POUNDING OUT A FENDER BUT NOT REBUILDING THE ENTIRE FRONT AND REAR OF THE CAR.

They rebuilt the car in order to accumulate as many points as possible. Doing so is within the rules and happens every week, although seldom to this extent. They're leading the championship - no effort or expense is too great to pick up 3 points.
The top 5 cars are fully inspected post-race as are a couple of other cars, chosen at random. Major crash damage is ignored during these inspections - it doesn't "help" the car. The 48 wasn't chosen.

The car finished 129 laps down and his closest competitor that was still running at the end of the race finished 105 laps down. Even if Johnson gained a huge advantage with the repairs (which he didn't as he barely ran minimum speed) it wasn't a competitive advantage and had no impact on the outcome of the race.

What rule says they have to be reinspected? Over the past 60 years of NASCAR, teams have done a lot in the garage area to get back on track.
What provokes you to insist suddenly there's something to object to when the 48 team does a rebuild?

As long as there has been points racing, there has been the ability of you to repair your car and get it back on the track.
Granted, there is usually a rule that says you must keep a good speed up on the track and stay out of the others way.
But this allows the teams to makes points that might just be very important come time to win a championship.
I think it was incredible to see that car looking as good as it was running around the track as fast as it was.
Any NASCAR fan that has watched years of racing would think the same.
Kudos to Johnson's team for a fantastic effort and to Johnson, sitting in the car, while his team fixed the car, telling his team,"I am as committed to winning as you are."
That's what NASCAR is all about.
