One fails to understand how a team without the funding to continue in the ALMS or the IRL can come up with a deal to run a Pug at Le Mans, let alone having their (non-auto) entry accepted.

And if what Duncan says is true(IMSA will try to slow down LMP1s, or both slow LMP1s and speed up LMP2s), you can scratch a full season outing by Audi, and for sure, you can scratch a private 908.

Until Peugot is (again) selling cars in the U.S., I don't expect Peugot to fund a team in the ALMS. In my opinion, if they run any ALMS races, it will be strictly to prepare for Le Mans.

It would be a good way to get their name back in the public eye in advance of their return to North America.

Peugeot won't be in ALMS. The customer Peugeot won't be fielded by a US American team. It also won't be the Mexican squad rumored to compete in the LMS. Here's hoping a Lola DBR1-2 Aston comes stateside...

It’s a good day for a motor car race.
