Of course, not a good policy to blindly believe the interwebs, but I am willing to believe it. This has all the hallmarks of a prototypical high stakes negotiation where both sides want to make it happen but they're stuck and one side is now deliberately leaking tidbits to put pressure on the other. Whether it's ACTUALLY true, eh who knows.
