Saw it at Vallelunga last week and got a good look at it (after seeing on display a couple of times). It is compact for sure. Looks more the size of a 600 than a 1000, but certainly no smaller than a 600.

I think part of it is the paint scheme and the tiny tail section. I think they both influence the overall impression. As for the specs, it is hard to get definitive info in a hurry, but according to that bikez.com website, the RSV4 and GSXR1000 have almost identical spec on size.

Coils from K-Mart. That was a hot setup.

I would go with the RC51 for one simple reason.Ducati's advantage was falling on deaf ears so Honda used the same rules to kick their butt in what seemed like an overnight move. Love them or hate them,Honda showed their engineering prowess on that bike.

I was about to say this same thing until I got to this page and read your quote. The new GSXR is very small it would be interesting to have the RSV and the GSXR side by side.

All the new litre bikes are small compared to 5 or 6 years ago and beyond, even the new R1.

I am not convinced on the look of the Aprilia. At first I was blown away by it with pics in the mags when if first was launched, but the other weekend when I was at the MotoGP I had a good look at a Factory model for real and I was not 100% convinced that is was the best looking bike out there.

It'd be a tough call between the RC30, 851SP and FZR750RR OWO1.

I don't know why but the Benelli that Goddard rode back in 01 or so was a bike I admired for some reason. I went for a bit of a hunt and found a few pics. Still pretty cool, but didn't do much in the way of results..
