Danica has been using sex appeal card for sometime ...
.... There is also the detail of becoming pregnant, that could be another blow in her racing career coffin.
In the IRL, the sex appeal card apparently did not result in a pregnancy. Are you suggesting that the part-time move to NASCAR will change that? Is her husband impotent? Are the men of NASCAR more virile than the boys she's been hanging around with?
Maybe she's without child because she's got balls. Big enough to give it a shot over there right in the face of all the naysayers. She has my support and best wishes for that reason alone.

She's such an idiot.
From a economic and financial standpoint - I think she's really smart. Plus for some reason I feel this "Danica era" is coming to a close mostly if she doesn't start winning or at least match '09's results. Maybe I'm being too pessimistic? Too optimistic?
Nascar is a marketing machine. Danica has been using sex appeal card for sometime, but when you use that card their is a shelf life. Most actors and models hit the same road. She is married and she is going to be 30 in a couple years. If you look in the feeder series more attractive women are in waiting. I am sure that Nascar doesn't want a series of women. Because she has spent more attention selling herself I think she missed the boat on working on her racing skill. After she makes the move to Nascar, I think that will be the last of her career. There is also the detail of becoming pregnant, that could be another blow in her racing career coffin. Atleast her career is not as bad as K. Legge, next year she is going to be the only driver with a older car on her team of 5, I feel bad for her, she was moved up to soon and it just kept getting worse from there.
Oh her sex apeal will hold up a while longer I think. As for her self promotion hurting her as a driver, I don't think so. She actually showed signifigant improvment this past season. She is not a joke as a driver, she's a good mid packer. That and and some sex appeal will get you a pretty good career in racing.

Apparently so.
If she can hold onto that, in Nascar, she can make a lot of money.

I'm not the most ardent Danica supporter but I expect that she will do fine, be in top flight equipment (which she has seldom had in her IRL career) and be well supported.
Contrary to NASCAR's "party line" - it's not terribly difficult to drive a stock car, it's just difficult to do so with a top team. C'mon how many years have drivers like David Stremme, Reed Sorenson and Casey Mears (one win between them) had jobs?

Danica's equipment in the IRL with AGR has been" less than top flight"??????

It's the change over that must be tough. Look how long it took JPM to be consistent enough to get in the chase. True, it's not with top team equipment, but I think it's a different mind set in how to handle the car and knowing what it needs to drive the way you want. I suspect that O/W drivers start out over driving the car a lot, because it feels like a dump truck, in comparison.

Depends on what color glasses you see it through, as to how the equipment is judged.

The IRL has four cars and then its a fight to see who runs 5th, what a joke, sad to see OWR racing falling so far.

How did if fall, in the 80s and mid 90s when it was bigger than it ever was under USAC ?
I think the colored glasses remark cuts both ways.
