What is up with Williams? Just let Rosberg go already. The season is over. What does he want Rosberg to do until 2010? Sweep the shop?

Well another profound statment from the driviling mouth of the Troll. "Nobody needs testing, testing costs money while racing brings money." He becomes more out of touch with the realities of F1 with each passing day.

Bernie is indeed, out of touch. Yes, let's throw young drivers, untested and tried in F1 without any wheel time. That's brilliant. Also, for Hamilton camp to say that, its done..HK is gone, we just don't know it yet.

It seems a bit odd that Williams will not even let Nico announce where he is going next season, as he couldn't do anything with a new team till January anyway.

Does the statement from Daddy Dearest, now indicate that he is making driver decissions at Mclaren, or has he been told Kimi is coming, and he had better get used too it?

On Williams- I agree with cdnfan, it is VERY STRANGE that Willams is acting this way...did Nico get sent to his room for wanting out? Weird....

On Mclaren...IMO, I think it was a release to make a clear statement that Lewis would welcome Kimi..IF that is the direction that happens. I think Lewis is loyal..and has stood by HK always, supporting him. In interviews elsewhere I have read and watched.. Lewis has always talked about HK's ability, strength's etc. I think this statement from the Hamilton/Mclaren camp is more a indication, for me, that HK is gone, gone, gone rather than whose coming.

Bernie's statements once again prove that the only thing he's in touch with is his own wallet. Safety certainly isn't a concern.

Why is it that Williams can announce their 2010 driver lineup, yet they hold Rosberg and Nakajima up? That makes no sense.

I think it's pretty funny that Hamilton Sr is now coming out and saying they would prefer Kimi to Heikki even though Heikki has been a decent guy when a few weeks ago he was quoted as saying Heikki was the better fit. It almost seems as if he may have been given a "talking to" and told to toe the party line here. Yeah, Heikki out for sure.

Ah Canada. Yes, the date of 6/13/10 is confirmed and GP tours has the ticket/hotel package prices online, but when you go to make a purchase it says the tickets aren't on sale yet. Same thing with grandprixtickets.com and a few others I checked. I'm going to go ahead and book my hotel anyway just so I'm not left in the lurch when the tickets go on sale. I hear the contract is not signed yet, but on the ticket websites there are headlines announcing that it is back. Montreal seems to be getting ready for it.

Too much talk on the part of drivers managers can hurt teams, I think. Hamilton Sr. needs to not say anything until the silly season is over, I feel..as well as other drivers managers as they jockey for rides.

On the otherhand..Speed, etc tend to create 'news' and stir up gossip as news...so I am wary of what drivers/teams/managers are 'reported' as saying or worse yet, feeling.

Technically, Nakajima is still part of Toyota's driver development program. Williams may be waiting to let them make their own statement about the future of that program and where Kaz may end up.

That said, it seems like a poor thank-you to Rosberg not to let him get on with it. With the team-in-chaos narrative breaking out all over F1, Williams has been able to manage a whole lot of upheaval in a remarkably orderly fashion, and I credit some part of that to Rosberg's drama-free approach to his own imminent departure. Maybe they want him to empty the trash on the way out....

Then again, if Nico is going to Brawn GP, that team may prefer to announce the 2010 line-up all at once rather than draw attention to the fact that they still haven't settled things with Jenson Button. January may be looking plenty soon enough for everyone concerned.
