Aren't the Challenger, Camaro and Mustang all tube frame cars, so the body is the only thing original from the factory??

The series does look pretty exciting for 2010 though.

The only single car out of all of those that is a tube frame car is the first Camaro - the one that raced at VIR in October. All other Camaros will be 'body in white' cars converted by Riley Technologies. The Mustangs are also 'body in white' from Ford. The Challenger is a converted street car. There's only one of those, I think.

I for one love the Koni series and I think it deserves full season coverage on SPEED. I think Grand-Am would probably have to pony up for that and the risk is they don't have the sponsors to make back the cost of the TV time.

I am not sure Koni allows tube frames. I have looked online and cannot find any information about the chassis except this, from the Stevenson site:

"It’s very hard going from a very competitive GT situation to KONI, since you are always looking at the car and saying, ’let’s just move that, and change that, and we could fix this,’ but of course none of that is legal since we have to run a stock car in the KONI Challenge."

The only reason I care is that w/o a fanbase, coverage will continue to be spotty at best. I wish there was a way to get all the disgruntled NASCAR fans interested in Koni Challenge, as the people who have left all those empty seats at NASCAR events would make for a dramatic increase in Koni's attendance figures.

Koni challenge is by far the best stock-car racing in North America.

I have. But the best class going on up here in the Northwest is the Spec Miatas that get slammed by everyone on these boards. Which leads me to believe that most folks haven't seen them in person.

Spec Miatas don't crash any more the Koni Krash Kars...good fun fender rubbing racing.

I must though, say I end up holding double yellows more often during Koni races than I do at SCCA races..That said, Koni has a great mix going, and I look foward to next season..
