With all the new cars announced, that series is going to rock in 2010!

Dodge Challenger, Camaro, Audi S4, KIA Forte Koup...

While many series are going down in car counts, this one is getting bigger and better.

I agree, but maybe all these news can help and if we are lucky, they could take the place Speed World Challenge is taking with crappy car counts...

Please Speed, show us more Koni!!

Bingo. The Koni Challenge is exactly what the Speed World Challenge was 10 years ago. Affordable, for the grassroots, multiple cars represented, and people that loved racing. Speed World Challenge became too professional and lost its roots.

Agreed. Koni is blowing up, although I do think that Kia getting into the mix was quite a suprise but any way you look at it more manufacturers is good. It is sad to see what's happened to the Speed World Challenge. Those races used to be excellent!

And loosened up the rules too much.

Aren't the Challenger, Camaro and Mustang all tube frame cars, so the body is the only thing original from the factory??

The series does look pretty exciting for 2010 though.

I have no idea about the Camaro or Challenger, but the Mustang is not a tubeframe racecar.

As far as I know, Grand Am allows tube-frames in GT but Koni cars are all stock bodies and chassis.

From their website: "With major modifications permitted only in the area of safety, the KONI Sports Car Challenge is home to the same cars seen on streets and highways around the world every day."

The Koni series would get a lot better if Grand-Am came to its senses and deep sixed the Rolex series.

I'd love to see the Lancer Evo and WRX STi in the GS class as well...

But Americans want to see "Stock Car Racing" not "Stock" cars racing. wink
