Um, I was sticking up for the ho. He didn't need to go after her personally.

I have my moments.
So maybe the real question is, who will score more points, Melandri or Speis? Melandri is obviously the better rider, but the satellite Yam is obviously better than the satellite Honda.
Also, Team Greasyini versus Team Tex 3 should be an interesting battle. Colin is solid for a good finish, but Melandri should be at the same level, if not better. And then Speis and Sic are the unknowns.

You will let us know when you have one of these moments, right?
Anyway, Spies is considerably smarter than Melandri, so, by seasons end I do not aniticipate that being much of a battle.

Neither the 'ho nor RR deserve any better than they get from me.
I am sure they feel the same.
The difference being is I am not going to make any excuses for it.

No need to comment on the personal stuff above, it speaks for itself.
But I don't see why anyone would think Speis is any smarter than Melandri. Based on what? And unless Ben's supposed intelligence is good for another 20hp, I don't see an edge for him over Melandri.

Taking a new bike with no data, new tires, new tracks, new series, new team and breaking pole records, winning a bunch of races, and winning the title in WSBK tells me he is smart enough to work on what is important and not get lost in the minutia.
During the end of year test at Valencia, not making changes to the bike and focusing on adapting his riding and then still ending up on the sharp end of the times.
Spies is smart enough to figure out whatr is most important and not get lost heading towards it.
Melandri was lost on the Yamaha, the 800 Honda, and the Ducati. The Hayate was what it was and I just do not think he did anything out of the ordinary on it. The only bike he has ever made an impression on in a somehwat consistent basis was the Honda 990 that was a good enough bike for even Nicky to win a couple of races on it.
When Melandri is fast he does not know why.

I have my moments.Melandri is lucky he even has a ride next year ,and I think the bike he rode this year was not as bad as a lot of people think it was . The guy runs off the track all the time ,and if was not for a couple wet and dry races his results this year would have been similar to his results last year . I think even Marco Melandri will tell you that the Gresni Honda team get's updates faster then the Tech3 Yamaha team does ,since he raced on both teams.I see both Ben Spies and Nicky Hayden getting more podiums then Marco Melandri getting next year .
