Don't know, but heard rumors that DMG was holding closed door meeting with AMA without Edmonson, so maybe we'll hear something soon. Road America has a June Superbike race on their 2010 tentative schedule

The AMA dragging their feet has bigger repercussions than setting your TIVO schedule.

WERA, CCS, CMRA and all the other big clubs can not finalize until the AMA does. All the smaller clubs can not finalize until those do. So on and so forth...

Of course, there is the whole riders looking for jobs and/or sponsorships, scheduling vacations, entire race dedicated shops not beeing able to plan accordingly... stuff like that.

C'mon... it is still a whole 6 months til March... just settle down now!!!!!

Yes, with no factory teams and few people attending races, hotels, rental cars, catering and all that doesn't need the pre planning it used too. Just phone in by noon race day.

For that matter, we all know Daytona is in March and the next race will be in May, so they have more time than Joe's estimate.

The ASSUMPSION is the tracks can’t afford the sanctioning fee without the manufacturer support they have had. And I wouldn’t put too much value on Mr. Ed not attending a dmg meeting. He is most likely concentrating on Grand Am. It has already lost all of GM’s support, they are not going to replace Pontiac with another brand. Now supposedly Toyota has openly discussed the fact they are probably leaving too.

Nascar would have a lot more egg on it’s collective face if a series they built from the ground up failed. They could in theory claim they bought an AMA series that was already on it’s death bed, facts be damned.

Yeah I got to start being more careful. At least in this case it’s all opinion and conjecture so I can disown all of it if I have too.

RE is going to have a hard time getting his asking price out of tracks this year.He is not negotiating from a strong posistion. You might say the tracks have him over a barrel.

Yeh odie, what where you thinking! I do agree with you about mr. ed. not attending the meeting. Povol, agreed about mr. ed might not get his money. But if they don't sign, want do they put in it's place. Of course, anything would be better the mr ed's plan.
