Just what is this “radical” design anyway?

We hear this talk of a radical design, but just what is so radical about it anyway? If memory serves, it was the current Director of Competition who uttered that categorization, so what he thinks is radical may be different from what motorsports experts may think.

And wouldn’t it be a positive public relations move to let the AOWR fans know what’s going on and get their opinion? All I ask for, as always, is the truth.

Alright, I play again. This was in Cavins Blog the other day and someone posted it in TrackForum.

That car is nothing more than a pipedream. This doesn't satisfy me enough.

The current car looks a million times better than this piece of crap! Enclosed rear wheels= NOT open wheel!!! How is this cost cutting at all, it looks like a NASA prototype! They need to go back to the 1999 Reynard and leave it alone.

This is my favorite of the the concept cars I've seen. It has lots of room for sponsors logos and keeps the basic design of an IndyCar.

The brainchild of designer Nicolas Stone, the futuristic car pays special attention to green technologies and harnesses wind energy to generate electricity. Featuring an innovative new propulsion system, the car is able to power itself with its own momentum by employing wind turbines to generate electricity from the air traveling over the car at high speeds. Facing an average of just 33 mph of wind, the IndyCar is capable of reaching a top speed of over 230 mph. Just incredible

Looks like its going to war in Iraq or going out to confront the long lines of Roman soldiers or something. Good luck when that large Target sign rips off going 220+ MPH. raspberry

The last people who should have input on the car are the fans.

True, and this thread wasn't exactly started by a "fan" wink
