I also forgot to mention the fact that being the head honcho of any business is never an easy task. And with all the things I would like to see accomplished at SPEED TV.....well..... That might just turn me into a white haired man faster than anything. I mean I would need to somehow find a way to hire more announcers and more poeple for the cammera crew department.

And after doing some math figures I suddenly realized it would prove to be a costly venture. That might explain why SPEED has decided to air eppisodes of their original shows at least twice a day. It also might explain why they went to highlighted coverage for SPEED World Challenge for 2009, and why they introduced the Ferrari Challenge as a half hour highlighted series. Oh well. Maybee someday I will have the privilage of being the head honcho at SPEED TV. If that day ever comes then I would try to carry out my earlier post.

Brilliant, meaningful responses!

I was trying not to be "greedy" in suggesting three channels, but Extremedriver's format is definitely plausible and preferable. I think it's still possible for SPEED to realistically split programming, specifically given it's parent company.

Jumpy Bob, I kind of hate to say it because of feeling disloyal, but ITV is one of the sites I have to 'resort' to in order to find the most current goings on. So, if you can hear Murray Walker comment on a race, I am envious.

It IS about money, and profit margins, but the infrastructure is in place, and then some. I am ignorant of many things, but to create another "channel" seems like an FCC licensing issue which the company may already hold rights to.

Your posts are exactly want I want to know. You are all so much more knowledgeable. I just want to watch every motorsport I can, in full, with excellence.

Extremedriver, I may be obviously wrong, but don't they already have commentators, cameramen, producers, etc. in place? If it's true, aren't they actually wasting money by not using what they have captured on film?

Ferrari Challenge and World Challenge included, but the recent "Legends" race at Laguna Seca was an hour long edit when there are those of us who would watch all day. Someone films the entirety of these races already, which is the infrastructure already in place. I think there are many, perhaps tens of thousands, that would watch SPEED if it didn't limit itself.

the answer is not another fox owned abomination. the answer is for bbc america to put their f1 coverage on bbc america. if you have never seen f1 on bbc you have never seen motorsports coverage the way its supposed to be done.

That would cost the BBC-i.e. the UK taxpayers-many more millions of dollars (as rights are granted only for specific areas) for a service that none of them could use. It's not going to happen.

As long as you would keep your crappy reality tv programming off of it. Also, keep all of the Nascar coverage to one channel. If Speed were able to provide just racing coverage, and no banter, no garbage, it would be alright, otherwise why poison us with another speed channel with more outlet for PINKS trash, and more Nascar gobbledy-gook. also get rid of bullrun, JAcked, wrecked, and unique whips, or atleast get new shows. good lord. enough with the reruns. show more racing!!!

drag racing proper is fine, but pinks style is not. keep that vein bulging rich off tv. he is a tool.
