It would be cool to see, but the total fan attendance would be around 200.

Why? Makes no sense to bring them to the US.

Especially when they don't have a TV deal in the US. It would be a total flop.

I think they would be best to partner with the ALMS at Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta or at Sebring.

Excuse me, but somebody needs to put this on TV (SPEED!) and here's your story line. This is stock car racing when you decide that they really need to be stock based and they don't have to weigh 3500 pounds. Let them come to the US, put it on TV so Americans can see that somewhere along the way, Nascar took a wrong turn. I won't hold my breath because I know I'm asking too much of US audiences. But I still hope.

I agree plus I still think many of our American touring car and GT drivers could kick the crap out of the WTCC/BTCC series drivers. I say bring it! It would be great to see Real Time Racing or someone do a one off and see how they do against our cross sea counterparts.

How about Road America. The best road course in the US and similar to many of the tracks in Europe. They could fit with ALMS in Aug.

Why do we need another GT series in the US?

My take on the status of Road Racing in the US:

Since the status quo can't attract fans for whatever reason, keep trying new things until something works.

And Touring Cars aren't quite the same as GT. IMHO, the Sedans that the race in WTCC are closer to what the US public actually drives. Yes, people may drool over Ferraris and Porsches, but they drive Cobalts and Civics.
