Anyone noticed that HDT actually does repeats of the WRC broadcast. It's on right now. I guess that although WRC is FIA, it isn't part of Bernie's empire.

There are lots of FIA sanctioned series. A1GP, WTCC, WRC, IRC, etc. The WRC commercial rights are now owned by North One TV. The WRC not being on Speed, or USA television had nothing to do with Bernie, it had more to do with the fact that no networks in the US had any interest in the series after Speed dropped the coverage until now.

It's more like what HDT is willing to pay and what kind of audience they expect to attract - as opposed to Speed's semiliterate, tuners, reality show crazies, and the like.

Well after watching 5 hours of WRC coverage, I am pleased to say that I'm in love with HD Theater and I'm losing my interest towards SPEED faster and faster.

indeed.
not to mention the speedway races.

all of the stuff that made this channel what it used to be.

and to think, it's all on the same channel that gives you sunrise earth every morning.

goes to show you that some stations are driven more by quality broadcasting than by the drive for every single ratings point they can squeeze from the "average" viewer.

I like this uneducated statement: "Panda Trueno-So I think it's pretty obvious to the fans of motorsport that SPEED is failing to offer us a diverse selection of racing."

SPEED offers more racing than any other Network in the USA! I think that becomes pretty obvious if you really do your homework! Have you done your homework Panda-Trueno??

I like reading these forums! I especially like it when I find the same 5 year old kids I hear screaming in Wal-Mart because their parents refused to give them the toy they wanted! Immaturity is what I find alot of on these forums!

And, according to the current issue of RACER, Speed will pick up both DTM and BTCC on December 3 . . . just as a reminder.

I will be so over the moon if this is true (and not just a 1 hour review)! Thanks, JagBro!

Amen...NO complaints here...WRC is great. Worst move SPEED ever made IMO was dumping it.... dont care about the reasons...its good stuff.
