Hey all: I would like to know what monster truck racing series are out there other than monster jam on speed? Also the monster jam events i see on speed seem to get great crowds, but how is it recieved as a legitimate form of motorsports? Thanks grin

I know of no other monster truck "racing" on TV, and this race fan doesn't consider it to be a legit form of motorsport myself, but hey, I am picky that way.

If they focused more on the racing than on the freestyle Id respect it more. Otherwise its just an exibition like Drifting.

The only other series worth going to other than Monster Jam is the Monster Truck Challenge.

There are tons of other monster truck series/tours out there, most of them are regional though and do the fair circuit.

As far as the legit Motorsports park...
The Racing side is, the Freestyle side is more of a skills competition.

Kinda like Ice-Skating. They have Hockey as the "Sport" side and Figure Skating as the "Skills" side.

No less legit then drag racing, heck most of the time it is drag racing (tne non-tv/fair type shows) with just a jump thrown in.

Depends on the series... Some I won't argue with you. USHRA/Monster Jam well, I won't argue, but If you listen closely...

I tried watching some freestyle on speed the other day, it just looked to much like professional wrestling. Like I said..if they focused more on the racing, I would respect it a tad more.

I would rather SPEED use it's valuable air time for more legitimate forms of racing, but if it keeps the tots happy I can deal with it.
