I think that there should only be one car one team in all racing. Then team orders would not apply.Seems to me that this would level the playing field and make for better competition . The little guy would finally get a chance and it would also keep costs down. Isn,t that what i have been hearing. Keep costs down.

Keep cost down? Not really. There is something called "economy of scale". The way it works is that a 4 car team, or even a 2 car team can do most everything more economically then 2 or 4 single car teams. Resources that would have to be duplicated by each single car team are shared among multiple car teams. For example, instead of needing, say, 6 fabricators for each 1 car team, a 4 car team may be able to do the same job with a total of 15.
Personally, I kind of think there should be a 2 car limit. I'm kinda on the fence on that one though.

^Been watching it for years. It's an even better sideshow then NASCAR. Who's in court this week? I've lost track.

Would you rather be driving a $300,000 car against a $1,000,000 car or four $250,000 cars?

It's called volume buying. It's a lot cheaper to buy 100 crankshafts than it is to buy a dozen, looking at it cost-per-item. That's why we go to Wal Mart and buy 30 pound bags of potato chips (Not an accurate example, but I'm not much of a grocery shopper. I hope you catch my drift.)

And back in the days when they were allowed to test, a limited number of times, a four car team split the testing up between tracks, and shared the data. They could pretty much cover the schedule, where a single car team could only test at 5 tracks IIRC.
