Force did exactly what he should have done by the nature of the rules.
This is POINTS racing, and the object of the game is to get ALL you cars in the final 10 so you can race for the championship.
In this format as a multi car team you are truly hostage to your sponsors dollars, and I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND what Force had to do.
SO, this format of points racing simply WILL NOT WORK with multi-car teams.
This is the nature of the beast that the NHRA has set up, If you want to be unhappy with someone here, throw rocks at the NHRA, not Force!
But what really is surprising is that Pedregon, and Mike Dunn are not smart enough to realize that this is the way that it is, and to throw Force under the bus was horrible.
The word "team" by definition would be a group of people working TOGETHER to a common goal.
I.E., WINNING.
Sounds like Force understands that and the Dunn's and Pedregon's aren't quite clear on that.
This format SUCKS and it is a can of worms, this was inevitable and In a way I'm glad it happened.
This type of thing in a 500 mile race is easy to hide, but on of the beauty's of drag racing is that you can't hide it.
The lousy format of NHRA Pro TEAM racing was exposed.
So what has to be done is to ban multi car teams OR change the format..
Multi car teams are here to stay, so you do the math..
Force is the greatest,he gets it and to call him names just shows a lack of intelligence and understanding of what big time BUSINESS (Drag racing) is all about!

Tony drove for Force for eight years, and remained silent on the way Force does business, err "racing", for years since out of loyalty.
Dunn has been in Drag Racing his whole life as a second generation racer. His livelyhood as an announcer is on the line every time he speaks.
For both of them to be so vocal against Force's practice means to me that they both feel what Team Force does is hurting the NHRA.

Dunn is stupid to trash John. NHRA found NO cheating so all those who did should state theye are sorry for saying it. Over, done, move on. Speed, please delete all these worthless post...

It's so easy to lose a race without the assistance of a crew chief...pick a bad lane, leave very late off the line, pedal the throttle, drive the car out of the groove to ensure the tires go up in smoke that even I could do it.
Any John Force fan would agree he's a more skilled driver than that!
Thanks for reenergizing this thread. I almost forgot about it.

No worries, we all love Big John and he's regretting doing what he needed to do. It's the NHRA allowing multi car teams in a points countdown system that created the environment for this mess.
