I don't mind a four team cap, as in one in each Pro class.

Can you imagine the uproar if the NFL team owners could own 2,3 or 4 football teams?

Bottom line, in my opinion:
Any one in his situation would have done the same thing.
Any one NOT in his situation who says otherwise is theorizing, not stating fact.
Thank you, Morgan Lucas.
No idea what that means, but, whatever.
I don;t know where your perspective comes from, but mine comes from having been involved in multi-million dollar racing; sponsors (especially good ones) are hard to find, harder these days. You give them what they expect if at all possible.

Pedregon to me was being very unsportsman like if not just a cry baby by saying on national tv what he did to John Force.Personally,I'd pay good money to see the "Force" kick Tony's butt off track off camera,to let him know how unprofessional he was.And also remind him who the big dog realy still is.

Oh this has been part of drag racing since the first meet.
All the way down to the local strip, two cars in the finals, if one wins he gets a big bonus. Hands shake. The other guy red lights, money is split.
No different than a F1 driver pulling over to let his teammate win, who is in the championship hunt. Or a NASCAR driver letting his teammate lead a lap for the bonus points.
Is it illegal? No. Unethical? Depends on where you're sitting at that moment.

Like Tony or Cruz have never let the other advance for the sake of the team..... Hmmmmm, in Tony's championship year, he didn't get an advantage run from JF?

This isn't about the Pedregon's/Force feud. Rivals make sports more interesting. This is about teams racing each other and losing on purpose. Who wants to watch that? It's predictable and boring. It's bad enough they only race to 1000' and in certain situations team cars are going up to the start line with the intent to lose.
Sure Tony P. played the "loser" role for big John and finally got his reward with John loser for him. But that got really old after 8 years and was a major factor with him deciding to leave JFR and race on his own. He wanted to race to win for a change.
Tony is frustrated because John is still using 3 other team cars to throw races when the situation arises. That's why he called him out on it at the US Nationals and good for Tony not being a hand puppet and pretending that everything smells like roses in the NHRA.

You can prove that? The fact that Cruz started his own team had nothing to do with that?

He alluded to that in previous interviews. No doubt that Tony wanted to race with his brother/s.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the countdown. Will the Force camp pledge to race all out and let the best car win? I hope so and not maintain the dirty little secret of multi-car teams in a points race.
