EDIT: Please see the bottom of this post for this week's bonus event. 10 points could make a difference for a lot of you!
1. I will divide the ICS field into four groups, ordered (from best to worst) A, B, C, and D (and E and F for Indianapolis only). These groups will be determined by a combination of points, subjective observations, questionable analysis, shaky conclusions, and random guessing. They may (and will) change throughout the season as drivers do, but I will not attempt to separate oval and road course performance and groups.
2. Everyone who wants to play must select one driver per group per race (well, you don't have to do every race, or every group for that matter, but both are highly recommended!). The only restriction is that you cannot choose the same driver for two consecutive races. This applies even if I switch the groups around and you end up quite restricted in one group.
3. Points are quite simple: your points are the same as the combined ICS points for all four of your drivers. Highest at the end of the season may win a small prize.
4. Any tie will be broken in the favor of the competitor who scored the most points out of everyone in the most races. If that is also tied, the tiebreaker will be for the competitor with the most 2nds, 3rds, etc. If that is somehow also tied, the competitor with the highest single-race score will prevail.
5. Picks are due when qualifying starts. However, each competitor may, once during the season, submit their picks late (any time before the start of the pace laps). This will be tracked and can be found along with the results.
6. Rules are subject to change without notice!

And finally, as promised, the final bonus event of the year, and it is this:
Predict the total number passes for position during the race.
This is a bit complex, so the full rules:
1. Everything will be confirmed using the lap chart, so a pass/repass, for example, will not count. I may not be able to watch the race, and we all know that they don't always show everything, so this is the best way.
2. Passes on Lap 1 will not count. Passes on restart laps will count.
3. Passes in the pits, or passes while one driver is slowing for the pits, will not count.
4. Passes will not count if one driver spins, drives way off the track, or has an obvious mechanical problem. They will count if, for example, one driver is forced off the track.
Closest to the total wins 10 points, and those 10 points could be big. There's no reason not to participate, so guess away! (If there's a tie, each tied person gets 10 points.)
