Those numbers were published by Jim Liberatore.
You really need to provide some reputable links, instead of posting what you claim is true.
Got any viewer number data that is current, reputable and accurate (like Nielsen ratings) regarding Speeds reality show vs. racing viewership on a weekly basis?
I'll hazard a guess and say probably not, since Liberatore hasn't worked for Speed for what is it, five years now and Speed Nielsen data and viewership numbers only seem available when Speed webpage headlines tell us that Nascar truck racing viewship increased some percentage points.
My gut tells me that Nascar subsidizes Speed. It's the only theory I can get to make sense because I can't believe anyone watches the reality dreck that Speed constantly ponies up.
You got any numbers to back THAT up?

I think I could dispute the idea that nobody watches the reality dreck, since reality shows - more accurately, quasi-reality shows, since they're all pretty much staged - are among the hottest properties on TV right now, like it or not. Right now dreck sells.
NASCAR revenues cover a lot of money that might be lost on other programming, including the reality shows that haven't taken off, no more or no less.

No. Nor do I claim to.
There is a difference between what I 'believe' to be true vs. posting Jim Liberatore viewer numbers. BTW, Jim hasn't worked for Speed in some period of time, so I'd be leery of the validity of that.
All I want to see are real numbers that document the reality dreck show popularity. Otherwise we can speculate 'til the cows come home on why this network is what it is.
So without real numbers to back up any claim - I'll re-phrase what I think - the Speed reality shows are not nearly as popular as some may believe and that other programming (Nascar) keeps the ball rolling for Speed.
I'm done. Rack me.

Sounds like another reality based show. why even call it speed, they barely show any speed, unless its paid for by Nascar, and then its just mindless gobbledy gook. seriously do you have to make it even more incapacitating, its already redundant and boring. This sounds like grasping at straws. Terrible idea... But as a whole, I believe that this kind of thing will continue, racing doesn't generate the ratings that these type of shows do, and Nascar coverage still does decent ratings, and other racing doesn't, with the exception of F1, since its early in the morning, it gets better ratings when its on fox, just for the bump for national tv broadcast instead of cable, but other than that, F1 is followed loyally, as is nascar just that nascar is more easily available.

So valid fact suddenly become invalid when the person quoting them stops working there?
BTW, Eric regularly posts current ratings numbers.

Well you know this really gets on my nerves... I am one of the stars in this series and we worked very hard for the show. I think that you are being pretty simple minded by thinking this station should only show what the few of you want. Now I am a NASCAR and racing fan just as much as the next guy, and I realize this station is about DRIVING. it represents all types of driving. Be it NASCAR, F1, Rally, Dirt track or occupational. So I thank you in advance for NOT watching my show. You are not the people we want to see it, maybe be in it.
I drive in NJ every day. If that isn't dangerous, I don't know what is. Yet there is no film crew on Route 80 as dump trucks play russian roullette with the other cars ont eh road. What exactly did you "work hard" on? Turning a steering wheel? And why are there "stars" unless this is another bogus so called "reality" show when in fact it is staged.
Come on man. Tell us all about it.

To compare the numbers between Libratore's Speedvision with FOXNews' SPEED is like comparing the numbers of Alfa Romeos to Chevrolets on American roads. Not very many Alfa dealerships around, are there? Just like Speedvision wasn't in near as many households as SPEED is.
As for Dangerous Drives, haven't seen it, nor do I intend to make a point to. But it has to be better than Pinks, Wrecked, and Pimp, after all how could it possibly be any worse?

Rally? There is RALLY on SPEED??? WRC? Dakar? Even SCCA? I haven't seen any Rally on SPEED in quite a while. When is it on? I'll be sure to watch.
